I LOVE FALL!

Fall is my most favorite time of year. Seriously. I am in love with Fall. I sometimes dream that I lived in a place where the leaves actually changed colors, and October was actually a month when it got cold.

Unfortunately, I do not. So, I will continue to dream about this magical place.

*love*

I love everything about fall. I love the colors, I love the scents, I love the pumpkins. I sometimes wish it could be fall all year round.

I can't wait until I have my own home to decorate with all the wonderful colors of fall.I am sitting here as I type this, just dreaming about all of the yummy scents that will fill my house this fall. Mmmm.....

Check it

I love.....

The new hair flower I got!!!!! I freaking love it! The best part about it, you might ask? I got it for $1!!! I found it at Claire's on clearance.

I'm in love with the fact that hair accessories are crazy in style right now. I've always loved wearing cute things in my hair. I have made a ton of them with just artificial flowers, and clips before, It's so much fun to do, and it is so flippin easy. But when I saw this one for only $1, I couldn't pass it up. It makes a wonderful addition to my homemade ones.

Does anyone else make hair accessories? If so, do you have any cute ideas for me to try out? I'm just itching to do some new crafts!

Geez, I feel like everytime I update, another month goes by, and I need to update again. I'm not very good at keeping this things updated. I've decided that it's because I'm on the computer all day long at work, and when I come home, I would just rather veg out than do anything productive. But I'm working on that.

So, whats been going on with me? Well, this past month has really been a blur. My baby sister graduated from high school. That was an experience in itself.

It was crazy rainy. I pretty much sucked. I brought an umbrella, but I didn't think about that fact that the bleachers would be soaking wet, by the time we got there. My butt was soaked. So that was not fun. But it was definitely worth it to see my little sister graduate. I'm so proud if her.

Time for a Post

So, it's been forever since I've posted. Things have just been super crazy, and by the end of the day, I never really feeli like posting. So anyways, this weekend has been super busy. I've had tons of stuff going on. On Friday, I went to Emily's, and we had our first swim party of the summer! It was so fun.

Here's Emily and her sister Katie. Two of my most favorite girls!

We barbequed, and had tons of food.

This is most everyone who came, plus or minus few poeple.

And then, on Saturday, a friend of mine from work invited me to go out to the Desert Botanical Gardens, to go see Chihuly exhibit. It was amazing. We went at night, so all of the glass sculptures were lit up, and diplayed beautifully.

This is the first big sculpture when you first walk in. It was so amazing!

It was so crazy to see all of this, and to think that it was all made of glass.

This one was actually all lit up fron the inside. It was so bright standing next to it.

I would like to go back to see the exhibit again during the day. This guys work is amazing.

Handmade Valentine's

Alrighty, so here is my attempt at handmade valentine's day cards.
As you can see here, my table was pretty cluttered with all of my supplies, it took me about a week to finish all of them, so my table looked like this all that time.

It was a mess. My family couldn't eat at the table all week.

This is my handy dandy sizzix machine. I love this thing. It is so great. It allows me to cut out large quantities of paper is all sorts of different shapes, depending on which cutter I have.

It took me quite some time, but this is how they turned out. This isn't all if them. By the time I remembered that I wanted to take pictures of the final product, I had given most of them away already. These are the ones that I am most proud of.

I am really happy with the way they turned out, and I am even thinking about making more cards for all sorts of different occasions. And I really want to start scrap booking more, because I just love all of the different things I can come up with. We'll see how it turns out.

10 Reasons to Despise Valentine's Day

Ok, I love Valentine's Day. I know it's a "Hallmark Holiday" or whatever, but I have always enjoyed it. I love making heart shaped cookies, and decorating them. I love making cute little Valentine's Day Cards, but there are some parts of Valentine's Day that I despise. And here the are:

1. Single or coupled, if you didn't make a reservation in January, your options for going out to dinner are limited to the local fast food drive-through.

2. The hour of our lives we waste every year in the greeting card aisle, looking for the perfect one.

3. The overnight tripling of the price of roses, forcing your boyfriend to choose between getting you a bouquet of a dozen or paying his bills that month.

4. The 24/7 romantic comedy marathon on TV during the month of February either makes you feel like a loser for being single or makes you resent your boyfriend for not being John Cusack.

5. If you've had anything resembling a date in the past two months, it always prematurely launches the "where is this going?" conversation.

6. If you're single and lucky enough to have three close, single girlfriends, you can't go out for drinks with them without being a cliché.

7. We don't need another stuffed teddy bear holding a heart or a cheap box of "guess the mystery filling" chocolates, thanks anyways.

8. They don't make Valentine's Day cards for friends-with-benefits or "I think I like you but it's too soon to tell."

9. We just started paying off our credit card bills from holiday shopping — our bank statements can't handle another gift.

10. Those gross taste-like-sidewalk-chalk conversation hearts. Yuck.

Anywho...I really do like Valentine's Day, it's not so bad. Well, I got me and Nick these awesome T-Shirts for Valentine's Day. For some reason I couldn't get the picture off the internet, which I am still a little angry about. It's a black t-shirt, and it says "Nick and Laura" and then a red heart right below that, and then under that it says "est. 2006." It's so cute, and it just got shipped today. Yay! I'll post a picture when they arrive.
Well, thats about it. I know I haven't been updating this little thing, but I just never have anything exciting to talk about.
