After about a month, I was still having pain. I went back to follow up with the endodontist who decided that I needed to have an apicoectomy (fancy word for cutting into my gums, and cutting off the top of the roots of my tooth.)
After this procedure, I was still having pain in my tooth. When I told this to the endodontist he said that there was nothing wrong, and I was faking it. (Yeah, right).
I ended up going to an Ears, nose and throat (ENT) doctor. Thismlady ran all kinds of tests, and decided that I had a problem in my sinuses. She performed a surgery on me, that I so adoringly call a "sinus scrape." Yikes. And just this past month, I began having pain again. So, naturally I went back to the ENT. She ran some tests, and just last week, I got the results.....It is my TOOTH!!!!! What the heck?!?!?!?
So, now to the point of this post, I went to see an oral surgeon yesterday, and his desicion is that the tooth needs to be extacted, and this huge lump in my mouth, it a cystic "balloon" that needs to be popped, and scraped out. YUCK!
This is me waiting in the oral surgeons office. Notice the tacky 70's wallpaper. Sick....
Here's Nick, waiting with me in the office. There is some kind of French Horn looking velvety picture behind him....are you noticing a theme yet?
And, to finish it all off....a tacky picture of geese. Yikes. And I kid you not, this place was covered in ducks. There were wooden ducks everywhere. I think Nick and I counted at least 15 ducks, just around the front office. Oh mercy. So, I will be saying farewell to my good ole tooth sometime soon. Anyways, the oral surgeon is really nice, and I know he's going to take really good care of me. I'll keep you updated. Well, that is all for now. Thanks for reading!
